Brothers of the 205th House,

I greet you in the spirit of our noble House—with fraternal love, deep respect, and unwavering commitment to our sacred mission. I am Brother Trent Bishop, honored and humbled to serve as your President of the Delta Rho Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.

As we step into this new fraternal year, we do so not merely as men—but as Men of Distinction—linked by lineage, bonded by brotherhood, and driven by purpose. I want to acknowledge and thank my predecessor, Dr. Philip Parker, for his steady hand, dignified leadership, and his stewardship of the legacy we now continue.

This House, our House, the 205th, is more than brick and mortar. It is a living testament to manly deeds, scholarship, and love for all mankind. It is the sanctuary where our visions take shape and our brotherhood finds voice.

But today, my brothers, I call us not just to remember our legacy—but to revive it. To build it back—stronger, wiser, bolder.

This is the heartbeat of our new vision:
"Building Back Better Brotherhood"—the B4 Way.

Let me be clear—this is not about change for change’s sake. It’s about restoration with intention. It’s about crafting a brotherhood that moves together, not just in name, but in shared purpose.

We’re fostering:

  • Shared Experiences that turn acquaintances into brothers.

  • Group Wellness that strengthens both body and mind.

  • Direct Action that lifts up San Antonio—not from afar, but shoulder to shoulder with the people.

  • And an Engaged Network—200 strong—by 2026.

You’ll see this in our cigar and spirits socials, where conversations light up like the cigars we share.
You’ll feel it on the greens of Brackenridge, or cheering together at a Spurs game.
You’ll live it through our fitness challenges and our community work—from the Food Bank to the Boys & Girls Clubs.

And together, we’ll watch this House become a home for every brother seeking purpose, strength, and belonging.

This is a brotherhood that moves. That breathes. That builds.

So to every brother walking through these halls: You are not alone. You are seen, you are valued, and you are part of something far greater than yourself. Let’s honor our Jewels—not just by what we remember, but by what we build.

Brothers, it’s time.
Time to lead with love.
To serve with strength.
To build back a better brotherhood—together.

Let’s get to work.
